Terms of service

The conditions for business use of the pineapi API and dashboard.

Last reviewed 2026-10-19

1. Operator, scope and agreement

pineapi is operated by WE ARE HEY, S.L., Spanish tax identifier B27645472. These terms cover business use of our profile search and lookup service, API and associated dashboard. Our registered address is Calle Gas, 28, piso 0, puerta 1, 08800 Vilanova i la Geltrú, Barcelona, España. Contact us at contact@heytalent.app.

The service is offered to businesses and professionals acting in their business capacity. You must have authority to act for the business opening the account. A website visit or an enquiry alone does not create a paid service order. These terms, the price and any order-specific conditions form the service agreement when you accept them as part of ordering the service.

2. What the service provides

The service accepts supported search filters or profile URLs and returns structured profile information when available. Search and lookup availability, supported inputs, limits and output fields are described in the API documentation and any accepted order. An API acceptance response means that work has been accepted, not that results are guaranteed.

Data availability depends on third-party sources. Results can be incomplete, duplicated, unavailable or out of date. Published historical performance figures describe past measurements and do not create an uptime or response-time service level agreement. No particular number of matches, business outcome or uninterrupted access is guaranteed.

pineapi is an independent service and is not endorsed by or affiliated with LinkedIn. Access to our API grants no permission to use another party’s platform, intellectual property or personal information beyond what applicable law and your own permissions allow.

3. Accounts, credentials and limits

Keep account information accurate, restrict team access and protect passwords, API keys and webhook secrets. Notify us promptly about suspected compromise. You are responsible for use you authorise and for securing systems that receive downloaded results or webhook notifications.

Observe the documented request, queue and concurrency limits. Do not bypass controls through additional identities, interfere with other accounts, probe for unauthorised access or submit malicious payloads. Rate-limited or invalid requests must be corrected or retried according to the documented response.

4. Usage and payment

The published standard rate is $0.012 per profile delivered in USD. A successful search has a $0.12 minimum, including a completed search with no matches. URL lookups have no search minimum. Repeated delivery of a profile in separate runs can incur another usage charge.

The service uses an account balance and may reserve funds while a run is pending. A reservation is not a second charge. Failed runs are not billed; any unused reservation is released in accordance with the run’s settlement. A run that delivers partial results may incur charges for those results under the documented billing rules.

Applicable taxes, the amount to be paid and any order-specific conditions must be disclosed before payment. An accepted written order governs any agreed departure from the standard price. Rate changes apply prospectively and must be communicated before they affect a new paid order.

Unused prepaid account balances are not refunded when an account is closed. This does not prevent correction or reimbursement of amounts charged incorrectly, or any refund required by applicable law. Report a disputed charge with the account and run identifiers so we can investigate it.

5. Lawful and acceptable use

Use the service only for lawful purposes and with a documented basis for processing personal information. Respect applicable privacy, direct-marketing, employment, anti-discrimination, intellectual-property and computer-access laws, as well as obligations that apply to you in relation to source platforms.

Do not use the service for harassment, stalking, fraud, unlawful surveillance, prohibited discrimination, unauthorised access or unsolicited communications that violate applicable law. Do not intentionally seek sensitive personal information or information about children through the service. Do not use a profile record as the sole basis for a consequential automated decision about a person without the safeguards required by law.

Public availability is not consent to every use. You are responsible for notices, lawful use, accuracy checks, retention, security and rights requests relating to your own processing of downloaded data. These responsibilities do not remove any obligations that apply independently to pineapi.

6. Data protection and confidentiality

Our privacy notice describes website and customer information handling. The parties’ data-protection roles depend on the actual processing. Where we process personal information on your behalf, an appropriate data processing agreement must be in place before that processing begins; these terms alone do not replace it. Request the agreement and applicable provider information at contact@heytalent.app.

Each party must protect the other’s non-public account, technical and commercial information and use it only to perform the agreement or comply with law. This does not restrict information already lawfully known, independently developed or legitimately made public. Disclosures legally required must be limited to what is necessary.

7. Results, intellectual property and retention

We retain rights in our software, documentation and branding. Subject to the agreement, you may access the service and use its documentation to integrate with it. Rights in source content remain with their respective holders; a usage fee does not transfer those rights or create exclusive ownership of a person’s profile.

Results are made available for the documented 30-day period. Export any results you lawfully need before they expire. You are responsible for your own copies and must delete them when their purpose or legal basis no longer supports retention. Billing records are separate from the downloadable results.

8. Suspension and ending service

Access may be restricted to address a credible security threat, unlawful use, material breach, insufficient funds or a legal requirement. Any restriction should be proportionate to its reason. We will give notice and an opportunity to resolve a remediable issue where practicable, unless doing so would undermine security or breach a legal obligation.

You can stop submitting new work and request account closure at contact@heytalent.app. Export results you lawfully need before requesting closure and identify any pending runs so their status and applicable charges can be confirmed. Outstanding valid charges remain payable, and unused prepaid balances are handled under section 4. Obligations that by their nature continue, including confidentiality, payment for completed work and applicable retention duties, survive termination.

9. Responsibility and disputes

Each party remains responsible for its own breaches and legal duties. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or restricts an individual’s statutory data-protection rights.

These terms are governed by Spanish law, without excluding mandatory protections that apply under other applicable law. Disputes may be brought before the courts competent under applicable procedural rules.

10. Changes and contact

Material contractual changes must be communicated before taking effect. Changes do not retrospectively alter completed orders. Where consent is required, the changed terms apply only after acceptance. A separately accepted order and data-processing agreement take precedence for the matters they expressly address.

For support and legal enquiries, contact contact@heytalent.app. Keep a copy of the version and any order that you accept. The revision date identifies this version of the terms; the date of your accepted order determines when your service agreement starts.
